Don’t just improve your health, rock it! Some popular diet books and other sources
suggest ditching grains to shed-pounds or improve health, but just the opposite
is true, as confirmed by evidence-based science. Grains provide fiber, a healthy plant-based
protein, vitamins, minerals and even phytochemicals (which are basically little
superhero’s all to themselves!).
Grains, especially whole grains, can provide much-needed fiber
in your diet that helps control a quick rise in blood sugar, keeps you feeling
full and lowers the “bad” LDL cholesterol. Good digestion is another benefit of
rocking the whole grains, which contain lactic acid to feed the better-for-you
bacteria in your large intestine.
Let’s get to the nitty gritty – Just HOW do you rock the
