Introducing "Fuel Your Passion" - Sports Nutrition Counseling & Coaching

Are you ready to take your nutrition and performance to the next level? There isn’t a better time than right now. Fuel Your Passion™ was created out of a love of all things athletic and a belief that by fueling your body with the right foods and fluids before, during and after training and competition you can increase your energy, improve your performance, and help you lead a healthier lifestyle. On a race day, a well-designed nutrition plan can give you the edge you’ve been looking for and the confidence to execute your best race. All of these issues and more can be customized to your specific training and race needs. As an athlete, I know how your busy lifestyle requires the ease and convenience of tested and proven fueling strategy. Making small changes can equal big results. We can work together to make it happen!
Here are my new business cards that are being printed as we speak! I have to hand it to Lisa, the owner of Fargo Designs, for her excellent work! Thanks Lisa!
As athletes, we are leading extremely busy lifestyles, and it's important to do more than just eat to feel full. We require so much more from our bodies on a daily basis. We want to feel energized for workout after workout, while maintaining all the other activities that make our lives fulfilling and meaningful. Looking at foods like vegetables, fruits, lean proteins and whole grains as nutrient fuel will change the way you view your diet. That's where the name "Fuel Your Passion" came from. The belief that by fueling your body not only with the correct foods, but at the right times, we can fuel up & refuel to do whatever we are passionate about! Whether it's swimming, biking, running, lifting, dancing, yoga or just feeling good on a daily basis, fueling our bodies properly is a must! A little commitment of planning and time can go a long way toward an overall healthier diet and lifestyle. If you're looking to make a change and take your nutrition and performance to the next level, Fuel Your Passion certainly can help. I will be offering a variety of services that can be accessed via my website in order to help you achieve your goals.
I will be doing numerous sports nutrition talks throughout the Pittsburgh area and beyond. On Sunday March 14th, I will be speaking at the Pittsburgh Triathlon Club Meeting (1pm – 3pm, Over the Bar, Southside on East Carson Street) and will be covering topics such as:
  • Formula to estimate your calorie needs
  • Day in Day Out Nutrition Needs (The Macronutrients - Carbohydrates, Proteins & Fats)
  • The Micronutrients (Vitamins & Minerals)
  • Proper Hydration
  • Menu Ideas
  • Pre- and Post- Excercise Meals / Snacks
  • Supplements - The Real Deal

In addition, I will be obtaining my USA Triathlon Level One Coaching Certification in the middle of April. I look forward to working with triathletes, like myself, who are motivated and excited to see where this sport can take them.
I've been very blessed to be a Registered Dietitan for six years, compete as an athlete for over fifteen years, and a triathlete for four years. Utalizing my certification as a Registered Dietitian is the next logical step, and I can't wait to see where this new part of my life brings! Please become a fan of the business on facebook (see badge in upper right hand corner), and visit my new website (www.fuelyourpassion.net). I need to drive my site traffic up so that I can be listed on the first page of Google when someone types in "Fuel Your Passion." Please feel free to let your friends know about this new opportunity, and email me any questions at kim@fuelyourpassion.net.

“I feel incredibly blessed to do what I love for a living. When I say that I’ve been in your shoes, I have. I’ve been racing competitively for over fifteen years and testing nutritional strategies that work both in training and on race day is a part of my every day experience as an athlete. It doesn’t matter if your training to race your hardest, just finish the race or develop a nutritional strategy that helps you live a healthier lifestyle, putting in the time and effort to improve your nutrition with Fuel Your Passion will help you get there! ”

In addition to her passion for triathlon, her professional career as a Registered Dietitian / Licensed Nutritionist provides a unique opportunities to tie in nutrition with the athletic realm in her own life, and assist others’ in reaching their nutritional goals. She is 2002 graduate of Penn State University’s Undergraduate Nutrition Program, and a 2003 graduate of the Penn State University’s Dietetic Internship Program.
